Is your Information Really Safe?
Most users of Cloud services take it for granted that these service are secure and that their information is kept safe. Others don't even think about security because that's someone else's problem. Only when something happens to their information do they suddenly panic. Often we hear people say: “why would anyone be interested in my data?” The truth is that there are people out there who want to know everything about you and your business and will stop at very little to get it.
We know how important security is and we understand the great responsibility we have in protecting your information. That's why, back in 2009, we took the decision to be one of the first companies in the UK to be audited and certified to the International Standard for Information Security - ISO27001. And we have subsequently been externally audited to this standard every year since. Unlike most other providers, we don't rely on a data centre's certificate, we have our own. Because we are audited and certified ourselves you can be confident that we are compliant and are doing everything possible to take care of your data.
General Data Protection Regulation & Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard
In 2018 the UK implemented GDPR with it's Data Protection Act 2018. It sets out 7 key principles: Lawfulness, Fairness & Transparency | Purpose Limitation | Data Minimisation | Accuracy | Storage limitation | Integrity and Confidentiality | Accountability. Online50 - the parent company of CloudsourcedIT - is fully compliant with GDPR and we are registered with the ICO to ensure continued compliance.
PCI DSS is a Data Security Standard related to the Payment Card Industry. Companies who store credit and debit card payment details must be compliant to this standard. CloudsourcedIT and it's parent company - Online50, take part in an annual audit and produce our attestation of complaince. This is to assure our customers and users that we continue to take the storage and security of their sensitive payment information very seriously.
